Video localization is a growing need for companies, even beyond their core products. It offers LSPs opportunities to expand services and boost client engagement. AI Dubbing is gaining interest for its potential cost and time savings, but it requires post-editing for quality results. In this presentation, we’ll share insights from our experience in implementing AI Dubbing post-editing services, covering technology selection, pricing, workflow optimization, and workforce training. Dr. Belén Agulló García, Terra
Belén is a multimedia localization professional with over a decade of experience in the localization industry in various roles in multiple companies, mainly language service providers, research and consultancy firms, and technology service providers. In her professional career, she has touched upon almost every role in the industry, including linguist, project manager, quality program manager, language technology deployment manager, researcher, educator, customer success manager, and vendor relationship manager and community builder, among others. This unique mix of experiences gave her a unique and deep understanding of the industry. In recent positions, she worked as AI Strategist and Innovator. Her focus has been to lead teams in devising and implementing long-term AI strategies, foster strategic partnerships, and define go-to-market strategies for AI services across key verticals. Her current role is Executive Consultant, Innovation at Terra, where she keeps bringing her passion for localization, processes, and language technology to customers around the world. With an academic foundation rooted in Translation and Interpreting Studies from the Universitat d'Alacant, an MA in Audiovisual Translation, and a Ph.D. in Language Interpretation and Translation from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, she has not only pursued knowledge but has also contributed to her field through a user-centered study on accessible subtitles in virtual reality content.

Marina is an ATA certified English>Spanish translator with over 16 years of experience in the translation industry. She has worked as a translator, editor, and quality assurance specialist for many companies around the world with a special focus on creative translations and video game localization. She is the chief executive officer of Terra and co-host of the podcast about translation, En Pantuflas.

Andrea Ballista, VOISEED SRL
Andrea has been working in the game industry for more than 25 years. Starting from the passion of music, songwriting and singing, he holds a Computer Music graduation. After having co-founded Binari Sonori in 1994, he has been Audio Director for Keywords Studios from 2015 until the end of 2019. In 2020, he has co-founded Voiseed to proceed into research and development of deep learning based emotional virtual voices.
Carlo Eugeni, University of Leeds
I graduated in Conference Interpreting and Translation at the University of Bologna in 2003. In 2009 I got my Ph.D. in English for Special Purposes with a thesis on live subtitling through respeaking. I am associate professor of audiovisual translation at the University of Leeds (UK), where I teach conference interpreting and respeaking and subtitling for the Deaf and the Hard-of-Hearing.
I founded the biennial International Symposium on Live Subtitling and Accessibiity, and am the chairman of the Intersteno scientific committee. In 2016, I co-founded the international journal on linguistic and cultural mediation CoMe and in 2020 the journal of professional reporting and transcription Tiro. In 2018, I received the Italian association of cochlear implant users APIC honorary award for my commitment in promoting the empowerment of deaf people.
As a professional I have worked as a freelance simultaneous interpreter, a technical translator, a parliamentary reporter, and a professional intralingual and interlingual respeaker. I have published extensively in the fields of Media Access and Audiovisual Translation, and am currently a researcher of the Horizon-UKRI project on easy language iDEM.
Ralph Jung, Dell Technologies
Ralph grew up in the Netherlands and now lives in Dublin, Ireland. He started his career as a Dutch localization specialist at EA Games in Germany. He later moved to Dublin, Ireland to join the team of in-house software localization engineers at Microsoft, where he played a key role in localizing the popular Windows XP operating system into Dutch. Following his departure from Microsoft, he spent some time working as a freelance translator, before joining Yahoo! as a cross-market lead editor for multilingual search engine advertising campaigns. After a brief stint at eBay, he became an Account Manager for a local search engine in Berlin.
Back in Dublin, he has been with Dell Technologies for the past 11 years, where he established the video localization program for product launches on Dell.com, which has since been extended and adapted to fit the needs of many other teams. As part of his job, he developed a patent in the area of video localization, which was granted by the US Patent Office in 2019. Ralph currently holds a consultant position within the Dell Global Translation Team, where he focuses on enhancing the company's capabilities in the areas of localization and accessibility of video, interactive media and SEO.
