GALA's Global Talent Initiative

The global language industry is vast and varied. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 24 percent growth from 2020 to 2030 for translators and interpreters, and that figure represents just one part of the complex supply chain in just one country! In addition to linguistics, there are abundant opportunities in software development, sales, project management, vendor management, executive leadership, data governance, and operations.

This industry needs a wide array of talented individuals with a desire to work at the intersection of business, technology, language, and culture.

GALA is a global organization with members from diverse stakeholder groups. As such, we are well-positioned to drive activities that aim to attract talent to the global language industry and support students pursuing careers within it. In addition to our own activities, GALA also partners with other language industry associations and nonprofits to advance global talent initiatives around the globe.
