In your view, what are the most important challenges and opportunities facing GALA?
GALA's greatest challenge is also its biggest opportunity: to lead the industry’s transformation. By fostering a spirit of coopetition, we can unite LSPs, Buyers, Academics, and Translation Technology Experts to turn this change into a powerful chance for progress.
How have you engaged with GALA as a member?
As the co-founder of the GALA MTPE Training SIG, alongside Lucía Guerrero, we united over 100 members to guide the industry’s seamless transition from pre-AI to post-AI translation. Together, we published a Common Machine Translation Training Protocol for all GALA members, paving the way for the future.
Besides your work with GALA, how do you engage with our industry (associations, conferences, speaking, publishing, community events, etc.)?
As a member of the Hellenic Association of Translation Studies, I have contributed to advancing MTPE research with several published papers and shared insights as a speaker at international translation and localization conferences.

I represent GALA's academic membership with a strong industrial perspective. With expertise in AI translation and MTPE research, I bring a collaborative perspective that fosters innovation. By uniting diverse voices, I aim to help GALA navigate challenges and seize opportunities for collective growth in our rapidly evolving industry.
