"The Shrimp Pose Theory or Why You Should Start Listening to Your Impostor Syndrome" - Angie Tapia (Business Development Manager | Terra Translations)

This talk revolves around the idea that to succeed in this industry we need to portray an image that we are the best choice—always perfect, always on top. We feel compelled to showcase our excellence, collecting awards, titles, clients, and certifications like badges of honor. But with every accolade comes a growing fear of messing up, saying the wrong thing, missing out on the latest trends, not knowing, failing, and eventually disappearing.

We have all heard of the Impostor Syndrome, that feeling of not being good enough despite our external success. People often say to ignore that nagging voice, that we are doing great, that we are fantastic, but what if that voice is trying to tell us something important? The Shrimp Pose Theory suggests it might be.

This theory encourages us to accept that we don't know everything, and it's perfectly okay that we never will. We don't always have to be standing in the superhero pose; it is more comfortable to be a bit more like a shrimp—flexible, genuine, and a little curvy. Let's listen to our gut feelings, drop the act of perfection, and just be the best version of our unique self.

"This Rose is Not Looking Forward to Summer!" - Johan Botha (Director | Folio Online)

E-mail etiquette is at an all-time low with no light at the end of the tunnel. Professional business communication is treated like a WhatsApp message to a buddy. Emojis outweigh words. Ignorance about the Southern Hemisphere is flourishing and people can no longer read, let alone spell. Bring your earplugs, this rant might get loud.
