The department of General and Applied Linguistics/ Translation Technology (ASTT), focuses on research and teaching in translational linguistics and on the technological developments in the field of translation and interpreting studies. As such, ASTT seeks to connect interdisciplinary applied linguistics with current developments in the language and translation industry. The department’s research projects are subsequently incorporated into the courses offered. The main focus of this research-oriented teaching is to engage in the progress and digitalization of the occupational field of translation and interpreting.
